The fair will feature 130 artists and musicians from the capital, 400 small-and-medium enterprises, a Betawi cultural festival, performance arts, Betawi culinary festival and old Jakarta exhibition.
Visitors can also enjoy live shows involving the making of dodol, fudge-like sweet made from glutinous rice, palm sugar and coconut milk, as well as traditional games. Admission to the fair is free.
Deputy Jakarta Governor Djarot Syaiful Hidayat said that the city administration fully supported the fair, which was fully funded by the private sector.
“We did not allocate funds for the event, we are just supporting it. Residents will be entertained,” he said on Monday.
